The relationship between fashion and music seems to be very deeply-rooted. Both expressions are art forms as well as bold individual statements: people love to show the world who they are through what they wear and what they listen to. We don’t mean to be superficial, but we took a stab at looking at the relationships between hats and music tastes. Take it or leave it.
Beanie
The artsy type who likes music with a lot of texture. Particularly drawn to minimal electronica, ambient, indie rock, experimental and alternative vibes.
Fedora
Someone who likes it big and wants it all. Loves a huge hook, a big chorus and uplifting party vibes: house, club, commercial and loud is the way.
Baseball cap
Straightforward people who like music that goes straight to the point, like a classic rock song or a pop tune with a great arrangement. Why fix it if it ain’t broken?
Baseball cap…backwards
These cap wearers really don’t want to be like their old man: they’re looking for bold, uncompromising music that speaks loud and clear, such as punk or hip-hop.
Stetson
As country as a big outdoor space: Stetson wearers love a good harmony, some fiddle and some warm acoustic guitars.
So what do you wear? Come show some style at The Foxgrove’s many classes.
